"Whynot" join Bea and I as we tour six spectacular National Parks. Arches, Captial Reef, Bryce, Canyonlands, North Rim of the Grand Cayon and Zion. Our Trip will start by taking Amtrak from Cleveland to Chicago's Union Station. From there we will pick up Amtrack's up scale Californ Zephyr train to Grand Junction Colorado where we will pick up our rental vehical and drive to our frist destination (Arches National Park).
Itinerary for the train is as follows: Depart Cleveland on 7-11-10 @ 3:00 am, arrive in Chicago 9:00 am.
Depart Chicago @ 2:00 pm and arrive at Grand Junction Colorado on 7-12-10 at 4:00 pm.
Depart Grand Junction Colorado on 7-25-10 @ 11:00 am and arrive on 7-26-10 Chicago's Union Station 3:30 pm.
Depart Chicago @ 9:00 pm and arrive in Cleveland 7-27-10 @5:00 am.
Cost for train is $340 per person roud trip coach or $582 per person with a sleeping car.
I am on train #5 Califoria Zephyr with a sleeping car.
At this time I have lodging booked for Zion Lodge 7-15-10 to 7-18-10. Cost is $175 per night double occupancy.

P.S. I have done two trips to the west via Amtrak in the past and the service & staff on the train was great!! This is a wounderful way to see the country. When you take the train you don't just get their. You Arrive.
